I’ll be sending you lots of positive thoughts to get you through this. Hang in there and just let it happen. I ordered some better weather to brighten up your life, but I seem to have no influence on that. So Freddy has to do that job for now.
Hey Maarten, good to see you got out and about yesterday considering what it’s like today.
It’s understandable your energy will be low, but so impressed with your openness and how you deal with it all. It really is such a worthwhile thing, this journal you’re doing.
My thoughts are with you mate and Lori too.
You know, back att he turn of the century, the built all the sanotariums (for kookjobs and sick people) at the beaches because they believed that a) the air was different – ionized in a different way becasue of the water and b) that the sound of the waves was the most natural soothing sound in the world. So i think that it is good that you got out of the house an off to a beach — any beach – to help soothe and renergize.
During the tough days that are and will surely come remember this, “have you ever been down so far that you haven’t been able to get back up yet in your life? This time will be no different. ” You’ll get back up, and you just need to rememebr to take the time that you need to heal.
spirits up or I’ll send over some yappy little cheerleaders.
We’re sorry to hear that you’re having a harder time right now, but I KNOW you’ll be feeling better eventually, and hopefully sooner than you think. I hope the COOL gadgets are keeping your spirits up and keeping your mind distracted. We’re thinking of you often Maarten!
It’s good to see you both and glad that you’re getting out in the fresh air together. Your strength and your sense of humor will return soon. You’re tired and that’s understandable. And when we’re tired our mood is low to. That will all get better, just hang in there.
Love you both,
Raelene & Tony
P.S. I’m so jealous to see that you need to wear a jacket when outside. Our temps here are in the 90’s and we’re sick of the heat! xoxo
Ok, I have to say it…this too shall pass. Keep focusing on the positive outcome, it will get you through the down times. Do the things you like as often as you can, remember that there will come a time when this will all be a distant memory.
Hi Maarten, you are being wonderful with all this, especially since the psychological and physical effects are so not what you are 🙂 Well done patient boy ( ha ha very funny), major effort to go to all the way to the beach with low energy level, hope you enjoyed it,
It was fun seeing you again today. Glad I dropped by, allthough it was way too short. It was good to see you still having all the positive vibes. That’s why we all like you! (say hi to your friendly neighbours. )
How do Lori and you feel about a:
‘glad_round_3_is_over_BBQ” in Sassenheim with some close friends? Let’s discuss posibilities…
I can totally appreciate where your head is at. The one thing i’m finding and it’s much easier said than done especially when you are not feeling great is to try and stay occupied.
The sitting around just thinking about things is the toughest part. The days i’m getting out of the house and doing normal activities tend to be the better days. I guess my point is try and mentally keep as busy as possible. Whether it’s focusing on your blog, gadgets, work, television, poitics, etc. it will help drift your attention away.
Hi we’re thinking about you, been gone for a week on vacation (at the beach), came back and it’s freezing here. So much for sunny CA. Sorry to hear this phase is difficult and you’re not feeling well … our thoughts are with you. Lots of love, LRB&K
