Today Maarten passed Day 4 of Round 2 in the hospital. So far it’s been a better experience for him then the first one; he hasn’t gotten as ill with the chemo as in the beginning (now that he knows what to ask for) and he got to play with a new 3G iphone. He has had visits from Pipa (our god daughter) and her mother, Darina, Our Neighbors(who also came with their parents!). Marta and Barbara came and brought Pizza!
In the meantime I’ve been keeping busy with work, hosptial visits and ‘operation Bedroom blackout’, putting up curtains in the bedroom to keep the light out. When Maarten has a chemo treatment he becomes hypersentsitive to light so we need to make one room in the house really dark. So far, phase one is complete!
I’m tired and will continue to be while Maarten is in the hospital. But he’ll be home on Monday. Until then I have bubby to keep me company (and the large community of friends, family and neighbors looking after me).
