Today I had my CT scan. Last one was three months ago. With this new one they will be able to determine the difference between then and now. Based on that we know how bad its going with Theo.
If it is really bad for Theo its really good for me. It means I’ll start watchfull waiting where we going in to scheduled scans.
Of course I made some video too:
- Before (inlcuding some video of our iced up car)
- A tour of the CT scan room (they dont normaly allow this
- After

Hang in there Maarten! You’re doing great. I hope the outcome will be ‘watchfull waiting’, so you can get some rest from all of this. I really admiring your courage and perseverance to post all this. I wish you (and Lori) a lot of luck!

Tossah,
Een galante man helpt natuurlijk zijn vrouw bij het afkrabben van de autoruiten. Ik hoef dat gelukkig nooit te doen want wij hebben een garage voor onze bolide. Lekker puh!
Hey CT-boy. May the force be with you…
Groeten,
Chewie
I wrote to santa and asked him to remove theo as my christmas wish. Since all previous christmas wishes involved around the world trips and world peace, i figure the odds are good this one prevails.
Lens, what kind of voodoo do you do?!? How did you ever get the California girl I knew so many years ago to come to Amsterdam and endure all of that ice? Only you, Lens, only you:) All my love for positive results from the scan. I think I mentioned in another comment that my grandmother is going through a similar experience right now. She was diagnosed with lung cancer about 6 months ago and immediately started chemotherapy (at 86 years old). She really struggled with the decision to start the therapy at her age, but otherwise, she was very healthy. Well, yesterday, we got the results of her latest CT scan, and I am happy to report that her cancer has shrunk to the point that she will not need any more chemo after December. Truly miraculous news. Take heart that this stuff you are going through can really work. Hope to be saying, “Bye, bye,” to Theo very soon!
wow! congrats! that is realy good to read. great. hope to see you soon
