Lori here again. I’m writing another quick update for Maarten today because (to quote the man himself) ‘not because I’m too sick, but because I’m too lazy to update.’ That’s a good sign, I think!
Yesterday was a tough day for him, but today, the scary day 10, passed by relatively uneventfully. Besides the fatigue he seemed to do ok. He ate well, watched several boring documentaries and even whined about a few things (a good sign).
This afternoon he sat outside and watched the neighbors wash their car, my car and each other and this evening he had a good hearty meal of Dutch Meatballs.

Hi Lori and Lens. I’ve been away all week taking care of my mom after eye surgery so I couldn’t wait to check in on the two of you when I got home. So glad that YOU are home! Lens, you are looking really well and your spirits are wonderful.
You both can do anything for three months when it means good health for you at the end of the journey. Be good to yourselves and each other.
Love you,
Raelene & Tony
Whinning is a good sign! It takes energy
Keep up the resting bit, it will do you good!

Hi Maarten
I spoke to Lori two day ago, (the evening you were not feeling well) and have updated the Journals you sent (I have been out of the “communication world” during 3 days). Glad you are doing fine as far as ‘fine’ can be in this situation. I’m flying up to Holland around 30/31.07 and hope to be able to see you and Lori. At the moment Switzerland is a oven, extremly hot over 32 degrees and no wind! Super, and the ‘good’ thing is, its going to continue like this. Great. I dont know if you want something from here, if you can eat chocolate or something else just let me know (dont ask for an Alphorn, I cannt squeeze it my hand bag!).
Have a good day will keep in touch, love bye bye Juliette
Another one bites the dust!
Wow, Dutch meatballs, so it seems you start sounding like your good old self again

Just a quick and dirty hello and particle beam ordnance aimed at you from us ugly Finns in the midst of another inspired weekend studio session. Luv ya!

Can you sent those neighbours to our house too? I really need to wash my car, but don’t feel like it. And please give them some meatballs for us to eat aswell.
Nice to hear Maarten’s whining, just don’t spoil him too much Lori, you will need to restrain him again when all of this is over!
One of us might be stopping by this weekend to bring the suntan spf 50 which we promised, since it’s going to be very warm from tuesday onward.
Take care!
Anita

Hey lieve Lori en Maarten
Came across this mantra type thing when I was googling this morning. Hope you wake up to a good day today Maarten!!
May all beings everywhere plagued with sufferings of body and mind quickly be freed from their illnesses. May those frightened cease to be afraid, and may those bound be free. May the powerless find power, and may people think of befriending one another.

that twitter thing. so I peeked in. …
whining is good I think.
whining when feeling sick;
staying sick is a must, I think.
it’s what goes with the prescription.
superman meanwhile
does the work.
WOW (!!!!), how did you guys manage to catch Super-baby on film? Your shutter speed must be INSANELY fast! But we’ll never know his true identity because (DAMNIT!) he was STILL fast enough to cover his face in time. Clever clever little Super-baby…
