I am glad the first step has been taken. It was my first medical procedure yesterday. It makes it all very real.
I think I did ok. The only icky bit was when the numbed my chest. After that the whole procedure was even intriguing. How the doctors did their thing, how they used their equipment. Do you want to see a picture of the needles they used? Hopefully they will send me the video too.
The best part was chilling in my hammock afterwards. Freddy came by and made himself very comfortable as you can see in the picture at the bottom. And then the new Iphone was announced and Holland won the first game in the European Cup. Also I asked Jos Kok to be my gatekeeper and intermediary when I will be in the hospital. He said yes. That all makes me feel good today.
The doctor said to take it easy. I guess I will. Wednesday night is the next step.

Hi Maarten, just had a read through of your blog and wanted to wish you the very best for your treatment and recovery. Stay positive, it really helps you physically.
Last year, at age 24, I had to undergo treatment for what was diagnosed as early stage cervical cancer. Miraculously, after my op, the path lab results showed that my condition had still been at the precancerous stages. I kept my journey detailed on my blog too and have been contacted by others saying that it helped them in similar positions.
